Portimonense drew 2-2 against Penafiel, in a game played this morning, counting for the 23rd round of the II Football League.

The Algarvians entered the game almost losing, conceded the second goal in the first half, but a goal by Ricardo Pessoa and another by Lumor ensured the tie, in a match that also had the right to a penalty defended by Ricardo Ferreira.

At 12 minutes, after a cross from Wellington, Gonçalo Abreu headed the first goal. The Penafiel player scored twice in the match, when 25 minutes had elapsed, in the conversion of a penalty.

Portimonense's comeback began, precisely, also in a penalty goal. Captain Ricardo Pessoa did not hesitate, in the 42nd minute, in the face-to-face with Coelho.

In the second half, Lumor consummated the tie, after a confused move in Penafiel's area, when the clock marked 59 minutes.

In a well-fought game, Ricardo Ferreira, goalkeeper for Portimonense, still had time to shine. At 77 minutes of the match, he defended a penalty and held the tie for the team from Portimão, which now has 56 points in the championship, maintaining the 1st place in the standings.

Even so, the distance to Aves (2nd place) can be shortened, to 4 points, if this team beat Vitória de Guimarães B. Penafiel, on the other hand, occupies the 5th position in the table, with 35 points conquered.
