An ATM was robbed this morning in Patacão in Faro, "using a gas explosion", advances the Jornal de Notícias. The façade of the Caixa Agrícola counter, where the box was installed, was partially destroyed.
The same newspaper says that "a strong explosion was heard at 5:14 am by some residents, who called the GNR" and that "a group of men were seen leaving the place in a vehicle where they placed a safe".
A source from the Judiciary Police, cited by JN, added that "the burst was made using gas injected into the ATM box, it seems, through the banknotes exit slot."
