Exhibitions of painting, ceramics, photography, cork, sculpture or wooden toys are some of the cultural proposals in the new cycle of exhibitions in São Brás de Alportel for this year, which the municipality makes available at the Municipal Gallery, at the Center for Arts and Crafts and at the Alportel Museum Center.
These exhibitions “reveal the multicultural vision of creatives who are native to the region” or who chose it “as their second home”, explains the City Council of São Brás.
This “cultural trip” began on January 6, at the Arts and Crafts Center of São Brás, with “Gentes e Costumes”, by Ana Nobre. “A reflection through art on “Am I the fruit of custom or am I the origin”?
On the 14th, at the Municipal Gallery, there will be «O Awakening». by Elsa Revez, «an awakening to painting as a form of expression of emotions and experiences».
The opening of the exhibition «Mouras Encantadas» on the 21st, at 16 pm, marks the beginning of a new cycle at the Alportel Museum. An exhibition of works by Sofia Pinto Correia alluding to pieces representing the legends of Moura Encantadas existing in Portuguese territory.
The objective of these exhibitions, which will be «more than two dozen», is also «to raise awareness and bring the public closer to artistic creation», states the municipality of São Brás.
Entry to these spaces is free.
