A trawling vessel, inspected yesterday, January 10, by the boat NRP Dragão, 18 miles south of the mouth of the Guadiana, had safety material on board “out of date”, informed the Navy.

The material was intended for visual signaling in case of emergency.

The Navy alerts "the entire maritime community to the importance of complying with basic safety rules, which contribute to the rescue of crews, in case of emergency."

The boat NRP Dragão is helping “the Navy's standard naval device in the Eastern Algarve, continuing its mission in terms of security and State authority at sea in the southern region of the country,” the entity explains.
