18th edition of the Vila do Bispo Artists Show will feature painting, sculpture and photography

Painting works, 17 in total, seven in sculpture, eight in photography and 25 in embroidery are some of the proposals for the 18th edition of the Vila do Bispo Artists Exhibition, which opens on Saturday, January 14, at 15:00 pm, at Interpretation Center in that county, open until 26 March.

In addition to these, there will also be 25 works of decorative arts. In this edition, there are 82 artists from the municipality participating.

In the area of ​​painting, they are Ana Bela Martins, Ana Carla Cabrita, Arlindo Mateus, Élia Sobral Henriques, Helen Newton, Jo Alice Braswell, Joana de Jesus, John Brian Tuttle, Judite Pitta, Maria Manuela Caneco, Maria Eduarda Soares, Maria da Graça de Jesus, Maria Paula Costa, Mariana Bremner, Kate Evans, Theresia Renner and Virgílio Costa.

In sculpture, Aidan Bremner, Arnaldo Mateus, Carlos Figueiras, Fernando Martins, José António Geraldo, José de Jesus and Nelson Barata are featured.

With regard to photography, the artists are Armindo Vicente, Dário Teixeira, Helena Cabrita, João Pedro Costa, Margot Köllges, Nuno Araújo and Carla Ramos, Rolf Henkel and Sebastião Pernes.

In one of the categories with the most works – thread and embroidery – the names of the artists are: Ana Paula de Oliveira, Célia Maria Rodrigues, Conceição Serafim Sintra, Esmeralda Jorge, Helena Rodrigues, Judite Sintra Correia Marreiros, Julieta Silva, Lídia Conceição, Lisete Marques, Luísa Marreiros, Maria Betina Xavier, Maria Catarina Costa, Maria Eliete Vicente, Maria Francisca C. Oliveira, Maria Francisca Rodrigues, Maria Graciete Batista, Maria Guilhermina Lopes, Maria Lídia Ricardo, Maria Lucinda Ferro, Maria Odete Cintra, Maria Rita Guilherme (Telo ), Ofélia Custódio, Rita Maia Mateus, Senhorinha Baptista and Suzete Marreiros Ramos.

This initiative, promoted by the municipality, «intends to contribute to the dissemination and promotion of creative works carried out by the municipality's artists».
