A 38-year-old man was arrested by the Judiciary Police (PJ) for trying to rape, yesterday, December 1st, a 67-year-old homeless woman at an ATM in Albufeira.
According to the PJ, the detainee “approached the victim, who was sleeping in the hall of a bank branch” and “by using physical force, he partially undressed her”. Faced with the victim's resistance, this man “assaulted her, causing her maxillofacial and nasal fractures”.
The detainee will now be presented to the competent judicial authorities to apply the coercive measures.
