rainThe Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere reinforced this Saturday the yellow warning for the district of Faro, due to the forecast of sometimes intense rain, winds with gusts between 75 (coast) and 90 km/h (high land) and the possibility of the occurrence of extreme wind phenomena.

In today's weather forecast update, the yellow alert is extended until 5:59 am on Monday (previously it was only in effect until 23:59 pm on Sunday) and there is also an announcement of what the Algarve should expect in the which touches on the intensity of the wind.

The yellow warning is already in effect for both rain and wind. In the latter case, the yellow warning will be in effect until 23:59 on Sunday. The wind, specified the IPMA, will be strong and will blow from the south-southeast.
