The end of the year in Portimão will have "good proposals" like fireworks, at 00:00 on January 1, music with the band "Pau D'Arara", from 23:00 on December 31, until 02:00 on the first day of the new year, in the Zona Ribeirinha, but also exhibitions and lectures at the Museu de Portimão and at the Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes, which are already taking place.

This firework will have an estimated duration of eight minutes, with 21 shots. As for the exhibitions, which are already on display at the Museum of Portimão, the municipality of Portimão highlights the sculptural installation «Europa: Polar Shift» by João Leonardo, the temporary exhibitions «16th Photographic Race of Portimão» and «Firemen of Portimão – Uma Força of Civil Society, 90 years serving the population” and, finally, the permanent exhibition “Portimão – Território e Identidade”.

Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes has, in turn, a diversified program with exhibitions, lectures and thematic activities in the «Casa (Con)Vida», with free admission.

The Christmas fair, in the city center, at Alameda da Praça da República, runs until December 31, with around 20 stands with products ranging from handicrafts to gastronomy.

On January 6th, Janeiras will be sung, also in Alameda da Praça da República, from 21 pm, with the participation of singing groups belonging to the Associative Movement of Portimão, and where the traditional bolo-rei and jeropiga will not be missing. sponsored by Pingo Doce supermarkets.

On January 7, from 21 pm, the Portuguese Air Force Band performs a New Year's concert at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão.
