The best students from the Castro Marim EB/2,3 School of the last school year were awarded a trip to Madeira and took in their luggage a check for 6,5 euros to support the victims of the great fire that ravaged this island in the summer. , money offered by the municipality of Castro.
The Castro Marim City Council channeled the funds it raised with the cancellation of the fireworks for the Feasts in Honor of Our Lady of the Mártires and Medieval Days for the work being carried out by the Santo António Development Association together victims of fires.
In other words, a trip whose main objective was to «reward merit and recognize the excellence of the municipality's students, the result of many hours of work and dedication to study», ended up also having a solidary nature.
