2016-223-AMO-GOD-02The comedy “God”, in which Joaquim Monchique wears the “skin” of God, will go on stage at the Albufeira Municipal Auditorium on December 2nd, at 21 pm. This will be the first show to be presented in this room, after it has received technical improvements.

The text interpreted by Joaquim Monchique is a version of “An Act of God”, by David Javerbaum, one of Jon Stewart's favorite writers, of the program “The Daily Show”.

In this comedy, God «will announce, through Joaquim Monchique, the state of things on planet Earth, which, as expected, is not in good health. This is because, in reality, the time has come for God and his two angels, Miguel and Gabriel, to change the course of Humanity and make life on earth much more pleasant», reveals the Municipality of Albufeira.

The play is staged by António Pires and Joaquim Monchique is accompanied on stage by Diogo Mesquita and Rui Andrade.

Tickets, worth 10 euros, can be purchased at the Lídia Jorge Municipal Library and at Paços do Concelho, on weekdays, from 9:00 am to 16:00 pm, or at the Municipal Auditorium, on the day of the show, from 19:30 pm to 21:15 pm.
