Six local and coastal fishing vessels, which were carrying shellfish, were inspected yesterday in the Ria Formosa, and no offense was detected, informs the Maritime Police.
The boats returned to the port, coming from fishing with hook trawl gear, between 12:00 and 13:30, but all the shells they carried had the minimum catch size: 25 millimeters, "as defined in the annex to Ordinance no. 27 /2001, of January 15th», says the Maritime Police.
Four elements of the Maritime Police participated in this action, one element of the Captaincy of the Port of Olhão, who used a vessel and a vehicle.
