winesThe Algarve Wines are the guests of honor at the Campo Pequeno Wine Market, which will take place between the 28th and 30th of October, in Lisbon.

This will be the first time that the event organizers have invited a specific region to participate in the exhibition, which is expected to be attended by around 12 people. For Carlos Gracias, president of the Algarve Wine Commission (CVA), the choice of Algarve wines «is the natural evolution of the work developed in recent years in the region».

In this fifth edition of the event, visitors «will be able to prove that the Algarve region is producing wines of excellence, proven in prestigious national and international competitions, as a result of the entrepreneurship and effort of our winemakers and winemakers».

«We are growing in a sustainable way, well oriented towards the production of quality wine and being disputed by the best winemakers and prestigious producers from other wine regions, who will certainly bring the best of their knowledge, take advantage of the excellent conditions that the region offers and contribute to the greater success of Algarve Wines. Success that has been validated by the awarding of prizes in national and international competitions in which we have participated», considered the responsible for CVA.

In 2016, the Campo Pequeno Wine Market will have around a hundred exhibitors, who will bring from the most classic wines to the new stars, from the Douro to the Alentejo, passing through Dão, Península de Setúbal, Vinho Verde region, Lisbon, Tagus and Azores.

The Mercado de Vinhos is jointly organized by Campo Pequeno and the House of Wines and operates between 11:30 am and 21h on the 28th and 29 October and from 11:30 am to 20h on the 30th. The ticket is 3 euros without a glass and 6 euros with a glass.
