The Municipal Pavilion of Tavira Eduardo Mansinho will have improvement works that will cost 145.985,84 euros, plus VAT, informed today the local authority.
With an execution period of 90 days, the intervention foresees the treatment and painting of the entire exterior of the Pavilion, including metal gates and doors, railings, handrails, guards, flower beds, surrounding walls, tennis courts and benches.
The company Norasil – Civil Construction Society will do the exterior painting, according to information provided by the Chamber of Tavira.
The work also includes the replacement of the gutter, five rainwater fall tubes on the west elevation, the opening of three ventilation grilles on the north elevation (one of them replacing the existing chimney), as well as the change of damaged glass and treatment from the space under the stairwell, also on the north elevation.
In addition to these works, the actuary of Tavira «is about to move forward with the installation of a thermal power station for the production of domestic hot water and remodeling the water supply network».
“The current hot and cold water network has several deficiencies, with greater degradation in the hot sanitary water network”, says the Chamber of Tavira.
«The sanitary water heating system is obsolete and inoperative, and the supply to the Pavilion derives from the existing system in the municipal swimming pools», adds the Tavirense municipality. It is estimated that this work will result in an investment of 200 thousand euros , plus VAT.
