238 Algarve companies had their applications for European funds approved, until 30 September, under the Regional Operational Program Algarve 2020, announced today the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDRA).

Altogether, there are more than 78 million euros of investment in the Algarve, with the support of 46 million in co-payment from the European Union.

According to the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission, «the largest investment volume approved ė in the Innovation Incentive Systems (SI), with 38,5 million euros of eligible investment, followed by the SI Qualificação PME, with about 20 million.

The CCDRA recalls that "the Portugal 2020 Community framework in progress is especially aimed at companies, namely in terms of increasing competitiveness, internationalization, development of human potential or in research and development".

The Algarve Regional Operational Program for the period 2014-2020 has an allocation of 319 million euros in EU funds (ERDF – European Regional Development Fund and ESF – European Social Fund), with around 140 million for companies .
