ThunderThe Trovante are going to name a street in Sagres, the place that saw them born as a musical group. The elements of the band will all be present at the homage ceremony of the Vila do Bispo Chamber, scheduled for Saturday, at 18:30 pm, during which a commemorative plaque will be unveiled.

The street in question is the one that gives access to Praia da Mareta, which starts at the Âncora roundabout and ends at the junction next to Santa Casa da Misericórdia. Moreover, it was nearby that Luís Represas, João Gil, Artur Costa, João Nuno Represas, Manuel Faria, Fernando Júdice, José Martins and José Salgueiro, the founders of the iconic Portuguese band, met and played together for the first time, during a summer vacation in 1976.

On Saturday, in addition to the homage they will receive, Trovante will stage a concert commemorating their 40-year career, scheduled for 22 pm, at Largo da Mareta. In the show, some of the band's greatest hits will be revisited, such as the songs "00 Azul", "Saudade", "Perdidamente", "Balada das Sete Saias" and "Outra Margem".

The plaque unveiling ceremony will be attended by the mayor of Vila do Bispo Adelino Soares and the Deputy Secretary of State and Environment, José Mendes.
