The Maritime Police of Lagos seized 50 pots that were placed in a prohibited zone and returned the fish that were in them to the sea, during an inspection of the seafront between Ponta da Piedade, in Lagos and Porto da Baleeira, in Sagres, municipality of Vila do Bispo.
The fish found inside fishing gear placed in a prohibited place was returned to its natural environment after being "considered immature", revealed the Maritime Police.
Four elements, a vessel and a Maritime Police vehicle were involved in the action.
