“Arte no Rio” will invade the riverside area of Odemira this weekend, September 17th and 18th. The event, promoted by Sopa de Artistas – Local Association of Plastic Artists, will take painters to show their art live.
The outdoor painting initiative, which is part of the September Cultural program, brings together six artists: Angela Cassar de Sain, Hilary Heger, Miguel Mascarenhas, Pedro Pinheiro, Sara Serrão and Tabea Wimmer, and the organization informs that «amateur painters are welcome".
According to the Chamber of Odemira, which supports the initiative, “Art in Rio”, in addition to publicizing the work of the participating artists, “aims above all to bring the population and tourists closer to the plastic arts”.
The painters will be working between 10 am and 00 pm and from 13 pm to 00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
