poster_DesafiosCIMA_20september2016 (002)The Center for Marine and Environmental Research (CIMA) of the University of Algarve will discuss the “New challenges of renewable energies”, on September 20, at 16 pm, at the António Ramos Rosa Library, in Faro. 

This session will feature the participation of three CIMA researchers: André Pacheco, who will speak about “Energia das Tides”, Sara Raposo, about “Biofuels”, and Cláudia Sequeira, who will present her perspective on “Offshore Wind Energy” .

With this initiative, it is intended to bring to discussion several current issues, "which will rely on the knowledge of researchers from this research center to solve problems and collaborate with institutions and companies, thus strengthening the blue economy", says UAlg .

The session is included in a series of seminars, entitled "CIMA Challenges – CIMA Challenges”, which wants to be “a think tanks for new ideas, approaches and opportunities for collaboration with society», adds the Algarvian Academy.

The event is open to the entire community and will also have time for debate.
