Antonio JustoThe City Council of Faro today, in a statement, he regretted the death of António Justo, chairman of the board of the Association of Pensioners, Pensioners and Elderly of Faro (ARPI), yesterday, the 8th of September. The municipality considers "an irreparable loss for Faro».

«The news, as painful as it is surprising, is known at a time when the association was experiencing a moment of great brilliance, with the prospect of the construction of the Residential Home, with capacity for 60 elderly people, which should see the light of day in the next two years », also stresses the Chamber of Faro.

Dedicating himself to ARPI for more than 23 years, António Justo “gave his all to the cause of the elderly in the municipality”. He has been the association's chairman for 10 years, after having held several other important positions: he was treasurer, vice-president and member of the Board of the General Assembly.

Before that, he was a CTT employee and became a football referee for the Associação de Faro. He died at the age of 80.

«It was the fate that António Justo left us in the year that celebrates the 35th anniversary of the creation of his institution», adds the Chamber of Faro.

The municipality of the Algarve capital ends its statement by addressing its condolences "to their relatives, colleagues and friends, and also to the more than 3000 members of ARPI".
