The Rallye Casinos do Algarve returns to the roads of the Barlavento Algarvio on the 12th and 13th of November. The competition will pass through the municipalities of Portimão, Lagos and Monchique.
According to the Clube Automóvel do Algarve, which organizes the event, «this year, in addition to marking the return to the fantastic stretches of the Barlavento Algarve, it is important to praise the fact that it is an international event under the FIA's jurisdiction, namely with the European Trophy of Rally and Troféu Ibérico de Ralis, which this year is in its first edition. In addition to ending the National Rally Championship, it is also eligible for the GT championship, Classics, Beginners, FPAK Asphalt Rally Cup and DS3 R1 Challenge, all ingredients for a multifaceted rally».
The rally is scheduled to start on Saturday, November 12th, at Passeio Ribeirinho de Portimão at 14:00 and, according to CAA, “it presents an interesting track, promising a very competitive rally”.
The race starts with two specials covered twice – Chilrão (14,99 km) and Alferce (14,63 km). In the evening, Lagos will receive the caravan to take place in the Super Special designed in the center of the city.
On Sunday, the riders will return to Serra de Monchique again to compete in four more Special Events, Monchique (9,93 km) and Fóia (20,07 km), totaling over 120 timed kilometers for all participants. The closing will be at the Hotel Algarve Casino, in Praia da Rocha at 13 pm, on the 00th.
