The new Program of Artistic Enhancement and Promotion of the Algarve Territory, endowed with 1,5 million euros, will be presented by the Minister of Culture, Secretary of State for Tourism and President of the Algarve Tourism Region, on Monday, 8th August, at 17 pm, at the Centro de Ciência Viva de Lagos.
Like the Sul Informação reported first hand, this program, which has Dália Paulo as curator, is intended to promote «the tourist appreciation of the Algarve, through a cultural and artistic program to be developed between the months of October 2016 and May 2017».
The money to finance this programme, which aims to increase the Algarve's cultural offer in the so-called low season, will come from Tourism, with the Ministry of Culture being responsible for its operational coordination. Hence the simultaneous presence, at the presentation in Lagos, of Minister Luís Filipe de Castro Mendes and Secretary of State Ana Mendes Godinho.
