Photogallery: Festival da Sardinha (and not only) brings animation to downtown Portimão

O Sardine Festival has been hot, with the good sardines to be served in a thousand and one ways, but with emphasis on the roast. To accompany the fish that is ex libris from Portimão, there is entertainment in all corners of the riverside and downtown. And there are concerts: today it will be Herman José, and tomorrow, at closing, it will be the turn of the Manuela Lopes Quartet Accordion Orchestra.

Even for those who don't want to eat sardines, there's always music or others performers, as well as street food, restaurants and patisseries, to fill the evening's program. Then there's the Ferris wheel, the carousel, the bumper car track and many other entertainment for all ages.

Last night, for example, one of the favorites of thousands of people who were on the riverside, along the Arade, was the young juggler couple Andrea (Italian) and Lucie (English), who delighted the audience with their numbers of fire, even using a bicycle…on fire.
