The village of Cortelha, in the municipality of Loulé, hosts, on September 3rd, the Festa da Filhó. The Friends of Cortelha Association, which organizes the event, guarantees “good food, good music and lots of laughs”.
The Festa da Filhó «intends to promote the donut as one of the most characteristic gastronomic specialties in the interior of the country», explain the promoters of the initiative, which will also have music with the singer Sandrine and comedy with the stories of Serafim.
According to the organization, “the event offers visitors the possibility of getting to know the various types of doughnuts that can be made. Given the variety of the product and its different forms of manufacture, this delicacy has multiple types and shapes. All of this can be savored at this party, which also has a bar and dining area available throughout the event».
The party starts at 16:00 pm with the Target Shooting Tournament and, at 20:00 pm, Sandrine starts the ball.
Comedian Serafim, born in Beja, and renowned for his unmistakable Alentejo accent, is scheduled to perform at 23:30 pm. Then, at 00:30, the dance with Sandrine continues.
The Festa da Filhó is supported by the Municipality of Loulé and the Parish Council of Salir.
