New Car_RSUThe City of Lagos announced today that it had invested 450 thousand euros in the purchase of a backhoe, two urban waste collection vehicles and a bus.

The vehicles purchased were “a 4×4 wheel drive backhoe (64.000 euros + VAT), a vehicle for the collection of 19 tonnes of urban waste (209.900 euros + VAT) and a vehicle for the collection of 6,5 tonnes of municipal waste (79.800 euros + VAT)», adds the municipality.

These are joined by the purchase of a 34-seater heavy passenger vehicle, which cost €94.000, and which "will be used to transport students this next school year," says the Chamber.

"Given the exponential increase in visitors and tourists in Lagos, and consequently the increase in waste production, the municipality sensitizes everyone to the importance of separating and correctly disposing of different waste, whether unsorted household, paper, plastic, metal, glass, used cooking oil, batteries or green waste», he concluded.
