ShowsStreet_CalçadasThe event “Calçadas – Arte goes back to the streets” takes place in the historic center of São Brás this Sunday, August 14th, between 20:00 and 01:00. Admission is free.

This initiative will feature, according to the City of São Brás, with «music, dance, short stories, comedy, live artistic creation and chilling stories».

“Calçadas – Arte goes back to the streets” will also have gastronomy, plastic arts and handicrafts.

This 3rd edition also brings a novelty: the contest “The Most Beautiful Window”, «which aims at decorating windows and shop windows in an original and creative way for the event, with the aim of further involving the resident population and traders in the Historic Center», adds the municipality. The winner of this contest «will see his creation displayed on the cover of the monthly agenda “São Brás happens”».

Scattered throughout the city's historic area, there will be six stages: Vila Adentro, Praça Velha, Churchyard, Municipal Library, Sidewalks in the Center for Arts and Crafts, and also, on the stretch of Calçadinha de São Brás de Alportel, an ancient road of Roman origin that, «this night, also gains new life ».

This event is organized by the Municipality of São Brás, in partnership with the “Calçadas Commission”.
