Showcase Ana WhaleArtists and artisans from São Luís (Odemira) are back on the streets of the municipality of Odemira, for the second edition of Montras2016, which takes place on 13 and 14 August.

According to the promoters of the event, which will occupy the streets of Comércio and Igreja, in addition to the exhibition of the works of artists and artisans, the event will have «performances, exhibitions, theater, dance, video, street animation, music (jazz, classical, rock, traditional, pop) and even creative workshops on plastic and dramatic expressions». 

The publicity component of the works of local artists, whether natural, living or spending a large part of the year in São Luís, is complemented by the presence of two guest artists: a «Storytailors, an already established name in national fashion who will have his work displayed in one of the windows and Inês Jaques, dancer and choreographer, who will present her work in the format of a video-performance», the promoters of the event say. 

Montras2016 is a co-organisation of the São Luís Transition movement and CAIS (Colectivo Artístico Intervenção Social), in collaboration with the Parish Council of São Luís, Casa do Povo of São Luís, Sociedade Recreativa e Musical Sanluizense and Três em Pipa.
