The budget review proposal of the Chamber of Faro for the 2016 fiscal year, it was unanimously approved this week, at the last meeting of the Farense Municipal Assembly.
The Chamber welcomes this unanimous approval, noting that “in fact, in Faro, there was no memory of such an occurrence in recent years. In fact, all the last fiscal years approved in Faro, they were counting at least the abstention of one of the benches», stresses the Municipality, presided over by the social democrat Rogério Bacalhau, in a statement.
The municipality adds that, «with this approval, the 2016 fiscal year is reinforced with about 4,66 million, from the 2015 management balance, which will allow a decisive investment in the improvement of the road network and public equipment».
the plan, which had already been approved in a Chamber meeting on the 13th of June, also provides for the recovery of the school and sports facilities, the duplication of support for associations and parish councils, as well as the dynamization of commerce. Funds were also contemplated for the amortization of PAEL and for social housing.
The autarchy adds that this budget review was agreed with all parties, for which reason it had already been approved, also unanimously, in a Chamber meeting.
In the opinion of the executive led by Rogério Bacalhau, this approval after concertation “proves to demonstrate that the attention that is given by this executive to dialogue and negotiation with all parties in the political process has been bringing to Faro, and for the exercise of this mandate in particular, a capital of democratic credibility that we are proud to recognize today».
