detentionFive men were arrested in the Algarve for active corruption, qualified fraud, forgery and fraud in obtaining bank credit, in the context of Operation Iryna of the Judiciary Police.

As reported by the Southern Directorate of the PJ, the arrests were made in compliance with orders issued by the Public Ministry.

According to the police force, “during the operation, sixteen searches were carried out, eight of which were at home, with documents, computer equipment and mobile phones being seized.

Four of the detainees, aged between 40 and 45, will be presented to the judicial authorities for the application of coercive measures.
