Portugal saThe film “Portugal SA”, a drama by Ruy Guerra, performed by Diogo Infante and Cristina Câmara, will be screened on 2 August at the Sociedade Recreativa de Vale Judeu, as part of the “Filmes com Estrelas” initiative.

Organized by the Câmara de Loulé, through the Loulé Film Office, with the support of the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual, this initiative aims to bring Portuguese films to the streets of various locations in the municipality. During July and August, the “Filmes com Estrelas” initiative is divided into several exhibitions.

Admission is always free and the start time for movies is 21:30 pm.

The documentary “José e Pilar”, by Miguel Gonçalves Mendes, about love and literature and which portrays the days of Nobel Prize winner José Saramago and his wife Pilar del Rio, is presented on 4 August at Fonte Pequena de Alte.

This is followed, on August 8, at the Escola Primária do Ameixial, with “Capitão Falcão”, an action-adventure film, directed by João Leitão, which tells the story of a patriotic Portuguese superhero at the service of the Estado Novo. On the same day, the film “Os Gatos não tem vertigo”, by António Pedro-Vasconcelos, is screened at the former primary school in Salir.

Boliqueime, on 11 August, will have the opportunity to pay homage to “his” Lídia Jorge, with the screening of the film “A Costa dos Murmurios”, based on the book by the Algarve writer, which can be seen at Largo da Igreja.

poster_filmsstarsLoulé actress Victória Guerra will also be entitled to a symbolic tribute on August 12th. The film “As Linhas de Wellington” will be shown at the Igreja das Portas do Céu, in Loulé.

On the 16th of August it will be Benafim's turn to watch, at Largo da Igreja, the comedy “Virados do Avesso”, by Edgar Pêra, starring Diogo Morgado and Jorge Currula.

Lastly, the screening of the film “O Leão da Estrela”, by Leonel Vieira, on Rua Vasco da Gama, in Quarteira, on the 25th of August, is reserved.

The cycle had started on the 21st of July, in the village of Tôr, with “A Gaiola Dourada”, followed by “Sei lá”, by Joaquim Leitão, in Querença, and “O Pátio das Cantigas”, by Leonel Vieira, in Almancil.
