AF Tolls LeafletTen of the 27 employees hired by Infraestruturas de Portugal to provide information at the Easytoll automatic toll booths are located on the Guadiana International Bridge square, at the beginning of the A22, the company announced.

The rest were placed at the entrances into Portugal via the A24 (near the border of Vila Verde da Raia), A25 (in Guarda, from the border in Vilar Formoso) and A28, being their function to help tourists and emigrants in joining Easytoll, an issue that usually generates traffic queues in these places.

Support at the EasyToll plazas runs from 8 July to 4 September, and "extends to 11 September at the A22 plaza, if necessary, depending on the expected movement", stresses IP.

This support will be provided by a total of 27 employees, distributed as follows across the EasyToll plazas: 10 elements on the A22, 6 on the A24, 9 on the A25 and 2 on the A28.

These employees provide support every day, between 8:00 am and 20:00 pm (with the exception of A28, where support is provided from Friday to Sunday), «promoting clarification and assistance to customers, in the sense of quick adherence to the system payment and guarantee of adequate conditions of circulation and fluidity of traffic at toll plazas'.

Infraestruturas de Portugal adds that there will also be "a reinforcement of the Call Center (707 500 501) that works 24h/7days".

The main land entrances in our country are served by motorways, where toll collection is exclusively electronic, carried out through the system Multi Lane Free Flow (MLFF). It is «a fully automated system, allowing great advantages in terms of efficiency, convenience and safety».

According to IP, "drivers who drive vehicles with a foreign registration number, such as emigrants returning to Portugal for holidays, can easily use national highways where toll collection is exclusively electronic. of various solutions for the respective payment for the use of these channels'.
