WPPh 2The largest and most renowned photojournalism exhibition in the world – the World Press Photo – returns to the Algarve. The international exhibition, which is in its 59th edition and brings together dozens of award-winning photographs, is back in the south of the country, this time the Faro, by the hands of Forum Algarve.

After many years of absence, the exhibition is back in the Algarve, attracting people from the Algarve who are passionate about photography and eager to know the current world reality.

The exhibition will be on display at the Forum Algarve's Central Square, in Faro, from the 15th of July to the 07th of August and will be open from 10am to midnight. Admission is free.

This year's edition features a nationally awarded work. Portuguese photographer Mário Cruz, winner in the “Contemporary Themes” category, with a photo essay on the slavery of children in Senegal and Guinea-Bissau, will be present at the Forum Algarve's FNAC on July 15, at 21 pm, for a session of autographs.
