The António Aleixo Cultural Center, in Vila Real de Santo António, hosts, on June 11th, the IV International Collecting Meeting.
According to the Municipality of VRSA, «the event brings together enthusiasts from all over the country and Spain who will show the public thousands of objects such as coins, champagne caps, stamps, chrome, crediphones, miniature cars and motorcycles, emblems and pennants ».
This edition brings together around a hundred exhibitors and "features the participation of one of the largest coffee cup collectors in the country, whose collection already reaches more than 25 thousand items", adds the municipality.
Other collectors of objects as different as pins, coffee picks, sugar packets and miniature coaches made by hand join the meeting.
During the event, five collections of sugar packages on traditional boats, old emblems of local clubs and associations, stamp photos by António Aleixo, Manuel Cabanas and António Vicente Campinas, old images of the centenary of the arrival of the train in VRSA and several photographs of the county
The exhibition is free to enter and can be visited between 10:00 and 18:00.
Also on June 11th and 12th, Praça Marquês de Pombal will host the IV International Floriculture and Handicraft Fair, between 10:00 am and 20:00 pm.
The event, which is free to enter, will also be dedicated to collecting, in particular to enthusiasts of botanical arts, who will be able to buy and exchange seeds, trees, plants and cactus.
