The «Algarvios» by Vitor Pina are also already on Instagram. The photographer has just create an instagram account, where new photos of people from the Algarve will be regularly posted.
So, in addition to the exhibition with the same name, which opened on June 10, the Lagoon Photography Encounters, and which is on display at the Sítio das Fontes Municipal Park Interpretation Center, in Estômbar, until September 4, the photographic project will continue, for now, using this digital platform and social network.
Also, all photos will have the hashtag #algarvians. The Enfola organization also leaves an invitation for everyone: «take pictures from the Algarve, take pictures at the exhibition “Algarve” and post your photo on social media using the hashtag #algarvians».
Vitor Pina, the author, told the Sul Informação that «Algarvians» it is an «intense street photography» project, because it results from a great physical and social proximity to those portrayed. «These are honest images that, without assuming a documentary aspect, aim to be a social mirror of the current time». Basically, they seek to contribute to a collective and identity portrait of the region and its inhabitants.
Open to the public in the Municipal Park of Sítio das Fontes (37.161720° : -8.485315°), near Estômbar (Lagoa), the exhibition can be visited until the 4th of September, from Tuesday to Saturday, between 15 and 20 hours. Admission is free and parking is not difficult.
