The Guadiana Cup 2015The draw for the fourth edition of A Copa do Guadiana, the largest Iberian youth soccer tournament, takes place on May 30, at 19 pm, at the Municipal Library of Vila Real de Santo António, and dictates the calendar of events. games.

The tournament will bring together 276 youth football teams and associations in the 11, 7 and 5 football modalities, at the Vila Real de Santo António Sports Complex, between June 20 and 30, and is expected to gather around 15.000 people between athletes and visitors.

The draw will count with the presence of the organization of the tournament, the councilor for Sports of Vila Real de Santo António, the coordinator of the Arbitration Committee, the director of the Sports Complex of Vila Real de Santo António and various leaders and officials of the clubs in the competition.

Sporting, Atlético de Madrid, Benfica, Seville, Futebol Clube do Porto, Betis, Sporting de Braga and Vitória de Guimarães are some of the Portuguese and Spanish teams that will compete in this reference tournament for youth football in our country.

More than 4.000 athletes and more than 15.000 visitors are expected to attend this sporting spectacle.

The Copa do Guadiana starts with the group stage, composed of four teams, where the teams are selected for the elimination phases until the final.

All teams not qualified after the group stage participate in the consolation tournament. The games for the 5th and 7th Football categories take place from the 20th to the 25th of June, and the 11th Football matches from the 25th to the 30th of June.

The Guadiana Cup is the most important summer tournament for the youth football team in Portugal.

The Iberian tournament, which counts on the participation of Portuguese and Spanish teams, includes competitions in eleven different age groups, with ages between 7 and 17 years old, and in three different variants (soccer 11, 7 and 5). It has been held at the Vila Real de Santo António Sports Complex, in the Algarve, since 2013.
