guadiana alcotim_rioThe Master's in Sustainable Management of Rural Spaces, promoted by the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Algarve, will be taught in Alcoutim, announced the Municipal Council of this municipality in the Northeast of Algarve.

The course will operate in a distance learning regime, with some face-to-face sessions, in the next academic year.

The master's objective is to train specialists in this area of ​​knowledge, with an adequate profile for intervention in regional development and planning, rural development and in the entire area of ​​space management in rural areas, in a global perspective of the sustainability of economic resources.

This course is held in conjunction with the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve and the Escola Superior Agrária of the Polytechnic Institute of Beja.

It lasts for three semesters, equivalent to 90 ECTS credits. Those who earn only 55 ECTS credits in two semesters will have a specialization course and a specialization diploma in Sustainable Management of Rural Spaces. If you take the dissertation, which corresponds to 35 ECTS, for another semester you will have a 2nd cycle course and a master's degree.

To guarantee the opening of the Master's, its promoters intend to assess the receptivity of interested parties, as well as to promote a clarification session.
