Matthieu LussianaThe Frenchman Matthieu Lussiana will be the third driver of the Parkalgar Racing Team, for the race of 12 Hours of Portimão, to be held on the 10th and 11th of June, at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão.

With extensive experience in several international championships, including the world Superstock 1000, the French rider was, in 2014 and 2015, the Brazilian champion in the Moto 1000GP, integrated in Alexandre Barros' team.

Matthieu Lussiana has already participated, twice, in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in 2011 and 2013, having also achieved, in 2014, the third place in the FIM Superstock 1000, also being the best privateer in this category.

Lussiana has experience in the Superbike world championship, in which she participated in the weekend at the Donington race, in a 2016 program that foresees her presence in all events held on European soil.

Born in Champigny-sur-Marne, Lussiana will bring to the team the knowledge of the Portimão circuit, where she has already competed, and the experience of two participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Parkalgar also highlights «the fact that Lussiana speaks fluent Portuguese, due to her experience in the Brazilian Moto 1000GP championship, making it easier for her to connect with her teammates, for a very special weekend».

With extensive experience in driving motorcycles with 1000cc capacity and being a specialist in driving in the rain, Lussiana has already achieved podium positions on the circuit of the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, part of the FIM Superstock, thus being presented as "a wise choice" for , in partnership with Miguel Oliveira and Miguel Praia, share the driving of the Yamaha R1 with the colors of the Parkalgar Racing Team.

“It was not easy to find a driver who could meet our expectations. We wanted a fast rider, but at the same time consistent, and Matthieu came almost naturally. We are very pleased with his coming», said Paulo Pinheiro, responsible for the presence of the only Portuguese team in this return of the Endurance World Cup to Portuguese soil.
