Eleven people were detained by the PSP last Wednesday, following sixteen house searches in the area of Faro, especially in the Atalaia district. The detainees are suspected of drug trafficking, along with schools in the Algarve capital.
According to a statement from the Public Prosecutor's Office, which directs the inquiry, the eleven detainees were engaged in the “sale of “hash” in schools in the city of Faro».
"Following the arrests, they will now be presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office and to the Criminal Instruction judge for the application of coercive measures," the statement added.
The investigation is under secrecy.
