The Estrada da Conceição de Faro has already opened to the public after the works under the program “Faro Requalify”. The “Repaving Contract for EM 519 and Rua 25 de Abril, between the roundabout at Nora and the intersection with Rua das Amendoeiras” was completed on 29 April.
According to the Chamber of Faro, «this work aimed to improve road and pedestrian circulation in that parish and the work consisted of re-paving the road, repairing ditches and building sidewalks».
The requalification cost around 57 thousand euros plus VAT and was carried out by “Sociedade José de Sousa Barra Filhos, Lda”.
In addition to the road from Conceição to Faro, under the “Faro Requalifica” the partial repaving of the EN2 has already been completed, the repaving of Rua Serpa Pinto and repairs in front of Igreja dos Capuchos, the repaving of Av. da República – “Rua da Alfândega”, the redevelopment of Rua Dr. José de Matos, the award of road and street paintings, the implementation of traffic lights and traffic lights on Av. Calouste Gulbenkian, the connection of Rua Jornal “O Algarve” to Rua da Amendoeira, the repaving of urban streets in Estoi and the repaving of streets in Conceição de Faro.
In addition to these completed works, the repaving of the EM520, between Falfosa and Santa Bárbara de Nexe, and the completion of the subdivision located at Rua Egas Moniz, Montenegro, are in progress.
