In this initiative, as part of the closing of the e-twinning project “Sound, Paper and Physics – Challenge yourself”, schools from Brazil, Slovenia and the Czech Republic also participate.

Also on this day and at this school in Quarteira, at 14:30 pm, the Water Rocket Contest “54321…take off!” will take place, which is open to the participation of students or teams of students from other schools.

According to Loulé City Council, «the objective of the competition is the launch of the rocket, but there are two categories for evaluation in the competition: the design and decoration of the water rocket and the ballistic launch, in which the launching accuracy of the rocket is evaluated. built water'.

On the same day, but at the Loulé Secondary School, the opening of the exhibition “Flight – Three Millennia of Flying Machines” is scheduled for 12:00.

This exhibition “is intended to be a transversal exhibition on the history of the human quest to understand the laws that govern the possibility of imitating birds, soaring into the air and going, without borders, to where it was not possible before. More than a mere exhibition space, this exhibition aims to interact with the visitor and the possibility of having activities for visiting schools and families», explains the Loulé local authority.

Organized jointly by the Municipality of Loulé, Loulé Secondary School and the Drª Laura Ayres School Group, the exhibition «intends to mix History, with Science, Technology, Art and Poetry, making it multifaceted and multicultural».
