pineappleThe Board of Directors of the National Association of Parishes (ANAFRE) will meet on Friday, May 20th, at 17 pm, at the Headquarters Building of the União das Freguesias de Faro (Sé and São Pedro), in Faro.

Among other topics, the preparation of activities to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Law No. 621 of June 23, which determined that Civil Parishes would have the official name of Parishes, will be discussed, that is, Parish Councils and Boards of Parish.

O Sul Informação knows that the official commemorations will take place on the 23rd of June, in the Assembly of the Republic, with great pomp and circumstance.

The meeting will also ratify the representatives of ANAFRE in the technical working group, with the Government and ANMP, to define general criteria for the assessment of administrative reorganization and the elaboration of indicators for the project of a new Framework Law for the creation, extinction and modification of Parishes, and definition of the decentralization model.

During the morning, the Board of Directors of ANAFRE, chaired by Pedro Cegonho, will be received at the Paços do Concelho de Faro, by the president of the Chamber Rogério Bacalhau. The delegation will also have lunch on the island of Culatra.
