sea ​​weekFour mini-conferences on «The Potential of the Sea of ​​the Algarve», scheduled for the 25th of May, between 11 am and 12:30 pm, are the contribution of the Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos to the sea ​​week, which takes place in that city between the 20th and the 28th of May.

The mini-conferences, integrated in the Day of Knowledge and Technological Development, have as guests experts who represent «poles of innovation and research in what could be called the Portuguese “Silicon Valley” of the Sea».

Thus, André Pacheco (CIMA, University of Algarve) will speak on «Sustainability of Tidal Energy Production: practical cases», Wilson Pinto (SPAROS) will address the practical case of «Sparos – applying scientific knowledge in the industrial sector», Paulo Pedro will talk about the company «Caviar Portugal: History of the development of a sturgeon aquaculture project in a country by the sea» and finally Hugo Barros, from CRIA, will focus on «Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer at Sea».

The Day of Knowledge and Technological Development is part of the Week of the Sea, organized by the Municipality of Lagos, which runs from May 20th, European Maritime Day, to May 28th, Fisherman's Day.
