The rehabilitation works of the Estômbar Elevated Reservoir, which will cost around 35 thousand euros, have already started, announced the Lagoa City Council, responsible for the intervention.
The municipality adds that the work will focus on the «interior and exterior of its cell, which presents a marked deterioration in its structure».
The work, which will take a maximum of 60 days, will improve the supply, making it also “more economical, as it will completely solve the water leaks that have occurred”, adds the Chamber.
This work will complement the redevelopment already carried out in the surrounding area – known as Largo do Barreiro – which made the space more pleasant and increased car parking.
