58 establishments, including restaurants and patisseries, in the areas of Lagos and Aljezur, joined the 1st stage of the Rota do Petisco 2016, which will take place in those municipalities, between the 1st and 29th of May.
In this first part of the Petisco Route in the most southwestern part of the Algarve, the proposals are to make your mouth water. Seafood ceviche, braised mackerel with Algarve salad and a shot of gazpacho, sardine croquettes, tuna tartar, purple duck stew, sausage balls, are some of the suggestions (see list below).
In Lagos, the Route is divided into two zones: 1, Marina/Meia Praia, with four restaurants and as many snacks, 2, Lagos Centro, with 33 proposals (snacks and sweets) and zone 3, with Barão de S. João, with three restaurants. In Aljezur, there is a single area, with 12 restaurants spread across the county, from the village, passing through Arrifana and Rogil.
There is also Zone 5, made up of four stores in the city of Lagos, which have special offers for Rota participants and passport holders (see list below).

The sixth edition of Rota do Petisco 2016, now divided into three stages, will start on the 1st of May, in the municipalities of Lagos and Aljezur. In June, it passes through Lagoa, Silves and Monchique, finishing in Portimão in September.
Despite these innovations, the Rota's operating model remains: the idea is to pick up your passport and visit the various establishments participating in the event, which present their Rota menu. A Petisco, always accompanied by a drink, has a unit price of 3 euros, and a Regional Sweet, accompanied by a liqueur, will cost 2 euros.
As happened last year, the Rota do Petisco Passport, which can be purchased at any participating establishment, is once again solidarity, reversing the cost of 1 euro in its acquisition, exclusively, to support seven social projects promoted by institutions locations.
From here, you just have to choose, enjoy and collect stamps for each delicacy consumed, and you can win a participation gift or be eligible for many prizes to be drawn.
