The next Primark store to open in Portugal will be in Faro. The revelation was made by Breege O'Donoghue, director for new markets and apparel chain development, in an interview with Público newspaper.
Breege O'Donoghue was sparse in explaining the new store. Asked if Primark has plans to open new stores in Portugal, she just said that there are «plans for a new one in Faro and that's all we can say».
If the opening of this store is confirmed, it will be the second for the brand in the Algarve, joining the one that already exists in the Aqua Shopping Center in Portimão.
It remains to be seen whether the responsible person was referring, or not, to the presence of the Irish brand in the commercial development of IKEA, which is being created in the municipality of… Loulé.
