FARNAUTICA_FLYER_A6The presence of the shuttle at the Oceanário de Lisboa is one of the highlights of the 2nd edition of Farnáutica – Mostra do Mar e da Nautica, which takes place between 6 and 8 May, at Jardim Manuel Bívar, in Faro.

According to the municipal company Ambifaro, which organizes the event, this has the «objective of promoting tourism and activities related to the nautical world and the sea and coast sector, emphasizing our history, our culture and our identity in which the sea it has a prominent and crucial role».

Farnáutica also wants to «promote and publicize recreational boating, seeking to revive and enhance this market in the Algarve region and in the municipality of Faro, taking advantage of its riverside condition».

During the three days of the exhibition, «the public will be able, in the more than one thousand square meters reserved, to learn about the new trends in the leisure boating market and have access to some brand news, as well as access to good business opportunities».

Gastronomy will also be present with taverns with “many dishes related to the sea and the Ria Formosa”.

Regarding the Lisbon Oceanarium shuttle, Ambifaro he adds that this will present «its environmental education project, inviting all visitors to the Farnáutica to participate in recreational and educational activities, with free access, which explore the various professions linked to the oceans and the sustainability of marine ecosystems».

In this space, «an expedition to the national maritime territory is also prepared, knowing its potential within the scope of the new map “Portugal é Mar”».

The shuttle, which will occupy an area of ​​100 m2, will be visited by schools, and «all those who want to know and learn a little more about the environment and marine and coastal ecosystems».

Admission to the II Farnáutica will be free. The show will be open to the public every day from 11:00 am and, on Friday and Saturday, it closes at 24:00 am. The end of the fair, on Sunday, is at 22 pm.
