Bats and amphibians from the ponds of Vila do Bispo and Almograve motivate night visits

ponds_34The initiative “Discovering the nocturnal fauna”, with lecture and night field visit to ponds in Vila do Bispo for the observation of bats, amphibians and other animals, it is scheduled for next Friday, April 8th, at 19:15.

This action is accompanied by Tiago Marques, from the University of Évora, and Edgar Gomes, from the LPN (League for Nature Protection). The meeting point is the Interpretation Center of Vila do Bispo, where the lecture will take place and where the field visit will start.

On Saturday, April 9th, it will be the turn of the municipality of Odemira to receive two initiatives linked to the LIFE Charcos project, both having as starting point the Youth Hostel of Almograve.

Thus, between 14:30 pm and 18:00 pm, there will be a clarification session about the LIFE Charcos Project, followed by a field visit and a social snack.

For 19:30 pm, the “Discovering nocturnal fauna” initiative is scheduled, with a lecture and field visit to observe amphibians and bats.

These initiatives are supported by the Municipal Councils of Vila do Bispo and Odemira and are aimed at the general population.
