Algarve Chefs WeekAlgarve Chefs Week will be launched on Saturday with a dinner where it will be possible to taste «unique creations of ceviche, a dish based on raw fish that is marinated in citrus juice, typical of Peruvian cuisine but with Arab origins», which will take place at the Market Municipality of Loulé, from 19 pm.

This will be the first moment of this year's edition of the gastronomic event, which will take place between the 6th and 15th of May. For a week, «gastronomy lovers will be able to taste unique and innovative creations of these renowned chefs in selected restaurants, in special menus that will highlight the Algarve's products», according to the Câmara de Loulé, which organizes this event.

For this Saturday's event, the municipality invited 12 chefs from top restaurants in the region, who will cook live.

«Whoever wants to taste the creations of these chefs can pay 10 euros, with access to try 3 dishes to choose from among the 12 creations», according to the Loulé local authority.

The guest chefs are José Leitão (Moonlight Restaurant, Nau Salgados Palace), Vítor Monteiro (L14 Restaurant, Nau Salgados Dunas Suites), Osvalde Silva (Louro Restaurant, Conrad Algarve), Miguel Lourenço (The Olive Tree, Hotel Vale d'Oliveiras) , Luís Mourão (Alquimia Restaurant, Epic Sana Algarve Hotel), Bruno Viegas (EMO Restaurant, Tivoli Victoria Hotel), Ricardo Ferreira (Pepper's Restaurant, Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Hotel), Miguel Teixeira (Koi Restaurant, Vidamar Resort Algarve), David Domingues ( À Terra Restaurant, Praia Verde Boutique Hotel), André Simões (Cilantro Restaurant, Hilton Vilamoura Hotel), Marco Alban (O Grill Restaurant, Pine Cliffs Residence, Luxury Collection Resort) and Luís Correia (Marenostrum Restaurant, Lake Spa Resort).
