A small section of wooden walkway is in the final stages of construction in a cliff area near Praia do Vau, in Portimão, in an investment by the Portuguese Environment Agency/ARH Algarve.
It was a small stretch of cliff that was at risk of further degradation due to trampling, as the pedestrian path that connects Praia do Vau to Ponta João d' runs through a narrow corridor between the houses there and the beach. Arens, on the coast of the municipality of Portimão.
Sebastião Teixeira, director of APA/ARH Algarve, revealed to Sul Informação that this small intervention, which also went through the «cleaning of the cliff», cost around 25 thousand euros.
