Joao Manuel RibeiroThe writer João Manuel Ribeiro will visit the Loulé 1st cycle school libraries, until Friday, in what will be an opportunity for students to get to know the author and some of his works, dedicated to children.

This is an initiative of the Municipal Library of Loulé, which will be held in schools EB1 Nº 4 of Loulé, EB1 Francisca de Aragão, EB1 Hortas de Santo António, EBI de Salir, EB1 da Abelheira, EB1 Mãe Soberana, EB1 of Vale de Rãs, EB1 nº2 in Almancil, EB1 in Vale Judeu, EB1 nº1 in Almancil, EB1 nº1 in Quarteira, EB1 in Boliqueime, Colégio Internacional de Vilamoura and EBXNUMX Fonte da Fonte Santa.

 

About the author:

João Manuel Ribeiro is a poet, writer, editor and researcher. He holds a PhD in Educational Sciences, from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra, with a dissertation on «Poetry at School – Response to the poetic text and organization of teaching». He holds a Master's Degree in Pedagogical Supervision and Training of Trainers, from the same Faculty, with a dissertation on “Poetry in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education – From Curriculum Guidelines to Teaching Decisions”. He holds a Master's in Books and Children's and Youth Literature from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, ​​with a monograph on “Poetry for childhood and youth by Vergílio Alberto Vieira: between tradition and modernity”. He holds a Master's Degree in Theology from the Catholic University of Porto, with a dissertation on “The spiritual evolution of Antero de Quental – An itinerary of modernity in Portugal”, and a degree in Theology from the same University.

She has been dedicated to writing for children, accompanying this process with a work of dynamization of literature in Primary Schools and colleges. It streamlined some collaborative writing projects with students, resulting in some books, specifically Raras Aves Raras (1), Quem do Alto Olhar (2010), Viagem aos Viagens (2011).
