This Saturday, the Confraria de Bacchus de Albufeira celebrates its 9th anniversary and will celebrate the date with the entry of new members. One of the highlights of the program is the colorful parade through the city of the brotherhoods present at the event.
According to the brotherhood, this is "an opportunity for the city's inhabitants and tourists to learn more about this association linked to wine, as well as for the brothers themselves to appropriately welcome the new members and celebrate a particularly festive day with family, friends and members of similar brotherhoods. ».
The gathering and reception of guests and official entities is scheduled for 9:30 am and will pass by the Samora Barros Art Gallery, in the city center, which has the exhibition BeberArte, in charge of Bacchus.
At 11:30 am, at the Igreja Matriz in Albufeira, the solemn act of enthronement of the new confreres takes place.
During lunch, scheduled for 13:30 pm, congratulations will be sung to the Confraria for its 9th anniversary and it will also be time for the official presentation of the program of the 8th Great Show of Wines of Portugal, under the responsibility of the Confraria Bacchus, scheduled for these days 6,7,8 and 9th of May, in Albufeira.
